2017 – 2021 Five Year Ash Tree Removal/Replacement Project

334 Ash Trees were removed, replacing with Red Maple, Willow Oak, Tulip Popular and Chinese Elm.

2019 – 2022 HOA has planted 21 additional trees along Mt. Washington, Black Walnut Blvd entrance, and 14 shrubs at Leven Blvd entrance.

During Spring of 2022 – 12 trees health declined – warranty paid for new trees – HOA paid for labor to remove/plant.

2018 Black Walnut / Leven Boulevards Entrance Sign Repainting

The entrance signs at Black Walnut and Leven Blvd’s will be temporarily removed while they are repainted offsite.

2018 – 2023 Wood Board Fence Painting

Wood board fence was painted in its entirety 2018 and 2023 along the entrances to Leven and Black Walnut Blvd. The wood board fence along Black Walnut Blvd. entrance is intended to be evaluated for replacement 2028. Leven Blvd. evaluation is scheduled for 2031

2018 – 2023 Six Year Signage Project

Began 2018 replacing 1/2 dozen 24″ Stop Signs.

2019 Project was conceptualized

2020 Phase One was completed with all new Street Signs on Leven Blvd, New Information of Stop Ahead, and No Outlet plus No Solicitation Signs were started.

2021 Phase Two was initiated when New Information signs were completed along with converting 1/2 of all 24″ Stop Signs to required 30″ Stop Signs.  All new Street Signs in Section 11 A & B, 12 and 13 were installed.

2022 Phase Two continued with 2/3rds of all new 25 MPH Speed Limit Children ~ Play Signs being installed and completion of converting 24″ Stop to 30″ Stop Signs.

2023 Phase Three was completed with the remaining 1/3rd of the new 25 MPH Speed Limit Children ~ Play Signs being installed.

2022 Section 12 Open Spaces

The area on either side of Park Lake Drive that Pennsylvania Run Creek passes through, started being bush hogged to allow for wildlife habitat. Given the complexity of acquiring people to continue bush hogging, those seven acres will be finished mowed a couple times during the growing season until bush hogging is viable.

2022 Brush Clearing/Tree Trimming

Three easements near Cassidy Circle along with the boarder of basin off Samuel Long Way had brush and trees trimmed. Both WPA’s adjacent to Black Walnut Blvd and behind Top Walnut Ct. were authorized by Louisville Planning and Design Services to remove invasive plant material.

2022 Sections IA 1B 12 and 13

Following the straight lines winds of April, 2022, a Risk Assessment Survey of all trees in Sections IA 1B, 12 and 13 was completed by an arborist certified and insured specifically for this task. Implementation of the Risk Mitigation Assessment Project was finalized in November, 2022

2023 Grout Rip Rap and Brush/Tree Removal

At the entrance of Black Walnut Blvd. erosion prevention rip rap was covered in liquid concrete to stabilize the rock during heavy rains. Fenimore Ridge Dr. heavily overgrown wooded area brush and tree grouping was mitigated. Tree lines adjacent to the open spaces on Deutsche Rd. were cut back reclaiming the turf.

2024 Radar Solar Speed Signs and Tree Planting Expansion

Two solar powered radar speed signs were added on Park Lake Dr., permitting the battery units capable of being utilized more extensively at the remaining three cut through streets. Trees were planted on Top Walnut Loop, Leven Ct., Chestnut View Dr. and Black Walnut Blvd. entrance.
